This one is for the marketing folks and bloggers.
There are a lot of great ones out there, but most are either too complicated (like I’m going to write a bunch of Tweets in a spreadsheet) or too simple.
So I finally built my own a couple years ago. For 2017, I thought I would share it with the world. Check it out here.
It has columns for each day of 2017, plus a column for notable days (I’ve pre-filled major US holidays).
Then there are columns for topic, campaign (for those who organize content by campaigns), type (I like to mix in my emails and webinars), deadline, status and then a “posted/sent” column that’s good for sticking a final URL into.
Then, on a second tab, I have my template for basic blog stat reporting. At the bottom of that is an “experiments” section I added last year to help organize my various CRO tests.
The editorial calendar template is available for free over on my Google Drive. Check it out, copy it to your Drive or download it, and make it your own.
